Family history
Kristas parents are both Science officers, usually serving together on various shipside assignments. She grew up at their feet and learned a lot of her early science education hands on and with their tutorage.
Until the age of 18 and her entry into the Academy she was homeschooled and tutored by the various educational instructors available.
She has no siblings, her Mother has a sister who is serving in StarFleet Medical on Earth, her Father has no siblings and only her Fathers father is still living in San Francisco on Earth.

Elementary and Secondary Schooling was done via tutoring on the various stations where her parents were stationed as science officers. She spent many hours at their feet learning hands on a child in the labs.
Starfleet Academy: (18 yrs - 22 yrs) She was enrolled for four years, specializing in bio-genetic research and minoring in nanotechnology (nanites).
She also spent two years (23 yrs to 24 yrs) on board the Science Vessel the USS Marconia as a junior science officer.
