Mother and Father meet in Starfleet. Both abroad the same starship, the USS NEBUCHADNEZZER. Two years later married and gave birth to Sulik. When Sulik was 3, a band of thieves and thugs broke into there house and killed his father and left Sulik for dead. When the mother return from duty found her husband and son killed but when medical personnel arrived found Sulik barely alive. To this day he has a 4 inch scar on his left cheek where the thugs slashed him from his mouth to his ear.
After his father was killed, he became very quiet and shy. Since he was 3 years old, his mother told him stories about his father and starfleet, and since all he could think about was starfleet. When he was old enough he applied to Starfleet academy. Graduated and that is where we pick up.
Only time in a hospital was when he was 3 years old. The only thing that reminds him of his father is that scar.
