Family history
Grew up in Texas, where her family had lived for a hundred years.
Her ancestors had come from Scotland and Ireland, two places she had always meant
to get to and visit but always seemed to elude her. She knew she would visit them
someday as she could see them in her dreams.
Never quite as a youngster, no lady like manners a tom-boy all the way. Nicknamed
Zac at an early age it follows her through adulthood even though she has tried to
shake it off
Friendly and outgoing, she could as a teenager be at times moody and harsh. Speaking
without thinking was her biggest fault and she blushed very easily, not a trait she
enjoyed. A happy childhood in every aspect.
Other: Long hair usually worn in a French braid. Lauren has a tendency to hum
"Jingle Bells" at odd times. She has a love of Ice-cream and coffee, sometimes at
the same time. A very dry sense of humor bordering on sarcasm that has gotten her
into conflict with those around her who have no .. humor. She enjoys holo mysteries
as well as relaxing on Risa as most Starfleet officers are bound to go on Holiday
and she can catch up on gossip which she loves.

tactical and enjoying science greatly she moved up the promotion ladder quickly. One
reason is she never seemed to find time for personal relationships once she left
Earth, becoming a bit of the recluse, no one was quite sure why.
When she was promoted to a Chief Tactical position she went through a tremendous
amount of psychological tests at her own request, learned life was short and relaxed
a bit on her loner status. "Lauren still exhibits a tendency to revert to solitude
instead of reaching out to those around her when under stress, something she has
promised to work on with structured meditation and relaxation exercises" Her
counselor wrote in a report.
