Family history
Mark was born and raised in Phoenix AZ. His father was a Starfleet officer who was in command of the Starship Cheyenne. Mark’s father was not home very much, so Mark’s mother was the primary parent, and influence in his life. Mark’s childhood was pretty uneventful. He always looked forward to when the Cheyenne made its way back to Earth, which was not that often.

When Mark was 11, Mark’s father was given the command of a new vessel, the Starship Monitor. Mark was excited! His father could now bring aboard his family. Mark spent the next few years of his life in a dream. He was so excited by shipboard life, that when he was 13, he decided that Starfleet was for him. Mark worked hard to catch up, so that he would be ready for the Starfleet entrance examinations.

When he was 18 he took the exams, and missed by 5%. Mark devoted the next year to studies, so that he would be ready by the time he was 19. When Mark retook the exam, he passed and was admitted to the academy.

In his sophomore year, his father was killed in a shuttle accident, while on a routine diplomatic mission. Mark took this very hard, and took a sabbatical from Starfleet Academy, to try and deal with the tragedy that struck his family. After a year had passed, Mark resumed his studies at the academy, and threw himself into his studies.

Mark managed to graduate 17th in his class, and is awaiting his first assignment.

"Assimilation is complete..."

The website and the ODN are no longer separate entities. No jumping from one site to the other to get information. We have added to our technological distinctiveness to become one. The process of rebuilding the front-end is still ongoing. Making "a" website... that's easy. Making a website that uses all our content over decades... that's hard.
